You Were Taught to Be Pure. Now You Want to Be Free.
Counseling for women untangling religious shame, purity culture, and identity confusion.

When The Old Messages Don’t Fit Anymore
For many women, the story began with the best intentions: be kind, stay pure, follow the rules. Maybe you wore the ring, kept the boundaries, did everything “right.” And still, something feels off.
You’ve built a good life. But under the surface, there’s tension that’s hard to name. Beliefs you were handed early about goodness, modesty, or worth are still echoing — even if your head has moved on, your body and relationships may still be carrying them.
Maybe your faith is shifting. Maybe you’re not sure what you believe anymore. You just know something isn't working, and you're ready to understand why.
Counseling can help you sort through what’s yours to keep and what you’re ready to release. Together, we create space for clarity, connection, and peace.
In our work together, you can:
- Explore how purity culture shaped your beliefs about sex, love, and identity
- Understand how spiritual messages from childhood still impact adult relationships
- Reconnect with your body and feel more aligned with your present-day values
- Rebuild intimacy in your marriage without shame or fear
- Begin to feel whole — not because you followed the rules, but because you came home to yourself
Hi, I'm Lee.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 30 years as an educator and director. I was always the person people came to when things fell apart. I brought comfort and clarity. I helped them name the hard stuff and figure out what to do next. That’s still what I do today.
I grew up in a divided religious home. One side told me I’d go to hell if I didn’t believe a certain way. The other side said there was no God at all. That contradiction shaped me and pushed me into a lifelong study of belief, spirituality, ancient texts, and critical thinking.
Most of my clients come in wrestling with old conditioning. They say things like, “I don’t know why I feel this way,” or “I thought I’d moved on from that,” or “Why does my body still react like I’m in trouble?”
They’re often professionals, parents, doers. They’ve pushed through and powered on. But the ghosts of old belief systems still echo, and those echoes are affecting their relationships, their self-worth, and their ability to feel joy.
Our work is about clarity, not chaos. I bring structure, education, and deep care. I help you identify the beliefs that no longer serve you, and together we explore new ways of thinking that feel aligned with who you are now—not who you were told to be.
If you’re ready to stop carrying guilt that isn’t yours and start living with more peace, let’s talk.
